Continuing the katsu3477's Mar13 style based customization. Gave update to small uTaco/microTaco Titanium app and replaced left-over icons with the Alumin Fortis set made by LordKokkei (Windows port by robot_r0ck).

how did you change the font for object bar?

You can change the look of Objectbar by creating themes, and/or editing existing theme's configuration files. Usually the files that define the look, use .obskin extension and can be found from the theme's directory, but the properties can really be found (or placed) from anywhere.

From those INI formated skin files you will find properties, including find Font-prefixed proterties, that will tell the particular element (element is defined with sections) in question what font, resources and styles to use.

Thanks :) There is link to the HTML/JavaScript source (that can be used in a Titanium application) in the description. MicroTaco can not be Googled because there is a application nowhere available with that name.

I'm pretty surprise with the 'MicroTaco' thingi. How you set up/install that stuff? the artist's comment didn't really help meh. Can you tell me how to set it up?

You don't really install it. It's just couple lines of code (yes just a source code) that can be used in a Titanium application.

Nice screenshot ! How did you get Objectbar to work in Win 7 ?
I read it was incompatible... which version are you using ?

It works pretty fine. Sure, it's 32-bit so it won't communicate with 64-bit applications nor it can get the non-standard menus.

The version I use, is the one and only version available on Stardock's Impulse distribution platform; v2.1 build 756, which was released three years ago.

So it can't communicate with explorer either ?
Other than what you've specified, are there any visual glitches, bugs of any kind?
Thank you for taking the time to answer :)

You're welcome :)

If you are using 64-bit Windows, no it can not. Same applies to any 64-bit process. Like for example notification icons made by 64-bit processes don't show up either.

One bigger problem is that OB really doesn't like the collapsing menus that Vista and 7 introduced. Because of how OB's menu functions work, it also likes to active the collapsing menus, making the menus active in some situations and unactivating menus might require pressing alt key or killing OB if the menu stucks to active state which happens in some cases.

Some of the extra widget function don't work either as some thing do work differently or are removed from the OS. For example the file/folder menus don't really work and volume widget doesn't work. Tho, both can be done with shortcuts.

As far as visual glitches go no, no visual glitches, not any more than on XP. As on XP from time to time the subbars might freeze, stay stuck on active state and don't always autoadjust the size correctly.

Personally I'm happy how Objectbar works on Windows 7 and it's benefits (menus... and menus) exceed the problems :)

Yes, I remember that on XP
Well, for me, the cons outweight the pros.
Thanks again for a detailed description.
You have been quite helpful and aided me in my decision ;)
It's a pitty that Stardock have stopped development.
